What are Sheet Masks? + Some of our FAQs

So what are these fabulous, mystery masks?
While the trend of snapping selfies in a Sheet Mask is new (and really fun), sheet masks themselves have long been a staple in Asian skin care. It just took us a while to figure out how awesome they are. Now that we know, we're obsessed.
With other companies you can buy masks that brighten, or hydrate, or refresh the skin, but we've created a mask that is like nothing else and can FIRM + BRIGHTEN + NOURISH + CALM all in the one mask! So go ahead and get your own happy hour mask, relax for 20 minutes, and don't forget to snap a selfie.
How do they actually work?
There is a sheet fully soaked with concentrated serum, which consist of many beneficial ingredients the skin such as hyaluronic acid and vitamins. These ingredients are in water phase as dissolved. The sheet prevents quick evaporation of water phase and extends the time frame the ingredients require to penetrate deep into the skin. This result in the sheet masks outperforming the effects of the traditional serum-type skincare even when applied once.
What are the benefits?
They bring fast effects in regards to enhancing the skin. The serum is filled with various vitamins and minerals, and won’t dry out the skin compared to the paste-type face mask. The sheet on your face helps the serum to soak in your skin a little longer. Some of the sheets also claim to brighten and make your skin firm. Basically, sheet masks are inexpensive compared to going to a spa, convenient, easy to apply, and brings glowing effect on your skin.
How do you apply the mask on your face?
It’s very easy! Apply it on a clean face, leave for 15-20 minutes, take it off and enjoy! You can apply it as often as you want throughout the day or week. When you are busy and barely have time to rest, sheet masks are great because you can use them even when you’re cleaning, cooking, reading or watching TV. The good thing is that, you don’t have to bother washing it off after applying!
The sheets are one-size-fits-all, but since every face is not the same size or shape, it would be easier to start from the forehead and pat it softly as you come down to your face while lining up the holes for your eyes, nose and mouth. You can use our sheet masks as many times as you want throughout the day or week, but many recommend using it three times a week or once a day for extra care.
What are the special ingredients in the happy hour masks?
Our wonderful mask is packed full of nutrients and is Paraben-Free (and is also Cruelty-Free). Some of the key ingredients are:
Black Truffle Extract -
Beyond just your normal dose of skin-benefiting minerals and vitamins, truffles contain an enzyme called superoxide dismutase (SOD), which helps isolate free radicals and prevents them from damaging the skin. Top that off with its ability to help retain moisture, and you'll see smooth and hydrated skin with a visible reduction in fine lines and wrinkles.
What also makes truffles so special is their ability to help with sensitive and damaged skin. Truffles are packed with ceramides and vitamin B, which strengthen the skin's barrier and aid with the cells' natural renewal process.
Chamomile Oil -
Chamomile Oil promotes smooth, healthy skin and relieves irritations because of its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. It has been used as a natural remedy for redness, skin irritation, even eczema and psoriasis.
Macadamia seed Oil -
One of the holy grails of skincare!!
Anytime you consume macadamia nut oil with its rich in essential fatty acids, you benefit your entire body, including your skin. Macadamia nuts contain approximately 80 percent monounsaturated fats, including oleic acid, which protects your heart from disease and reduces cholesterol levels. The oil is also a rich source of palmitoleic acid, which is a powerful antioxidant that supports healthy cell membranes, hydrates the skin and supports skin healing. By consuming essential fatty acids, you can minimize skin conditions such as dandruff, dry skin, dry hair and brittle nails.
Although the oil is relatively thick and feels oily to the touch, it's readily absorbed into the skin, and it doesn't leave you feeling greasy or slimy. In addition to infusing your skin with moisture, using macadamia nut oil topically firms your skin while maintaining a youthful glow. The amount of palmitoleic acid that naturally occurs in your skin decreases as you age. By using macadamia oil, you restore your skin's palmitoleic acid levels and decrease your skin's rate of deterioration while keeping your skin taut and discouraging wrinkle formation.
Vitamin E Oil -
As indicated by its vitamin classification, vitamin E is a nutrient to the skin. It is an antioxidant that helps neutralize free radicals, which damage cells. There are different ways to use vitamin E, depending on what you are hoping to treat: Wrinkles: Wrinkles come from age, free radical damage, improper skin care and poor habits such as smoking and drinking alcohol in excess.Vitamin E oil prevents the formation of wrinkles by blocking free radical damage. It treats wrinkles by boosting collagen production, a connective tissue that keeps skin elastic. Vitamin E oil also treats wrinkles by supporting new skin cell growth and speeding up cell regeneration. Brown Spots: Brown spots on the skin are caused by aging, free radical damage and poor liver function. Vitamin E oil prevents and repairs free radical damage. When applied topically to brown spots on the skin, it helps to lighten and smooth the rough skin by lubricating cell membranes and encouraging cell regeneration. Rough Skin: Vitamin E oil provides the skin with necessary moisture as well as antioxidants for intense healing.
